TAG Body Art

Henna leaf powder, 100% organic.

Comes in 100 g bags.

Made in India.

  1. 100 g henna powder and 1 teaspoon of sugar (dry ingredients).  Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl or mixer.
  2. 1/2 cup of lemon juice, (bottled lemon juice is fine), 1/2 cup of water.  Add lemon juice and 1/2 cup of water, if more water is needed add small amounts at a time, mix utnil a very thick paste is formed.  It will be a bit lumpy at this point.
  3. 30 ml of pure essential Lavender oil, small amount of water.  Add your Lavender oil, if mixture is too thick add a small amount of water so as to make paste ribbon off your spoon forming peaks that very slowly melt or slump.
  4. Mix your paste well, until all the lumps are gone.  Mixture should be smooth.
  5. Cover henna with some cling wrap and put aside at room temperature.  Leave over night, 12-24 hours is fine.  Prepare cones ready to fill.
  6. Give the henna a mix and spoon into a stocking, (tights leg) and strain, this will prevent any blockages in your cone by removing any lumps.
  7. Place the strained henna into the carrot bag provided and fill your cones about 1/2-2/3 of the way full and tape shut.

100 g of henna yields about 12 medium cones of henna.

If not all used on the same day, freeze the remaining cone and take them out as needed.

Apply henna for tattoos onto the skin with a henna cone.

It is possible to remove henna colour with olive oil.  Soak some cotton wool in olive oil and rub onto the henna tattoo.  If the tattoo needs quicker removal add some salt with the olive oil.  Allow the oil to penetrate the skin for at least 10 minutes.
